Dear Potential Sponsor,
Thank you for considering Sponsorship of the Cooper City High School Sound of Pride Band Program. The Sound of Pride is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that supports the large-scale operations of our award-winning, extracurricular music program in Cooper City, Florida. The Sound of Pride is home to nearly 150 student performers across several programs including the Sound of Pride Marching Band, Concert and Jazz bands and Color Guard. The band programs provide spirit for football games, compete at the regional and national level, and participate in community and charity events throughout South Florida.
Why support the band?
"I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning." – Plato
Students involved in instrumental music throughout their secondary education have significantly higher levels of mathematic proficiency, higher graduation rates, higher attendance rates, higher SAT scores, higher GPAs and report the lowest levels of lifetime and current substance usage. Music programs improve social diversity, foster leadership, self-motivation, time management and self-discipline, amongst other career and lifetime skills (nammfoundation.org). In short, supporting music programs at the high school level is an investment in our future.
Facts about the Sound of Pride:
The Sound of Pride has an annual operating budget of over $300K, utilizes over 15,000 volunteer hours from parents and community members, and is supported by nearly 25 paid professional music consultants during the year, none of which is funded through the school. EACH student will devote in excess of 750 extracurricular hours toward the bands during the school year, all while maintaining some of the highest-grade point averages in the school. Your support will help fuel key elements of the budget including paid professional consultants, travel and transportation, uniforms, equipment and so much more.
Please consider making an investment in our future leaders by supporting our program of Excellence at Cooper City High School in Cooper City, Florida.
The Sound of Pride offers multiple ways for you to contribute to our program. We thank you for your consideration.
